Good restaurant. Incredible staff (it’s a great experience). A more relaxed version of a “sushi master” experience. The chef is nice and relaxed. However, he doesn’t pay the same attention to every costumer and the sushi he prepares. For example: one of our sushis had a fishbone he didn’t detected and the chef delivered twice the same sushi to my wife (he gave her my piece and he didn’t noticed). I could gave 4 stars because the staff is great and the food is good, BUT, I think that when you pay a 2 Michelin stars restaurant (and believe me, the price is high) you become more demanding. If you’re expecting less entertainment, more silent and flawless perfection in every piece of sushi, try to get a reservation at Jiro (same price and a serious, stressful, delicious and profound experience).
Chef Koichi Taira is an artist, he takes a few dishes to warm up to you but dont be afraid to ask questions. We were served 29 different dishes including soups. Everything is and was top notch, my favourites were the Spanish Mackerel and the Tunas. I have included a picture of the front door as it was slightly hard to find given i do not read any Japanese. ;)
Amazing sushi restaurant. Unique in every sense. A must for Tokyo!
Amazing sushi and the chefs are very nice, kind and friendly! Totally recommend it! Super tourist friendly and they would not give you what you ask them not to or anything similar in flavor! The sake is great and the ambience very nice and clean!
Best sushi I've ever had in my life. This is a two Michelin star, which I believe will be a three star one day. Considering the chef that took over the restaurant was able to keep it at a two star after the owner passed away. Watching them make the sushi is an experience in and of itself. The service was outstanding and the food was so delicious. I don't believe any adventure to Japan is complete without an experience like this.
Amazing experience. Tiny place, great service, friendly staff and incredible sushi. Loved it
A lively edomae experience. Not sure if fully worth the two Michelin stars, but very delicious nonetheless!
Authentic tempura spot in Ginza. We made a reservation because it’s a busy spot. The stuff was great and so were the chefs!
Slightly pricey but absolutely wonderful, experience is a bit more lively and less formal than other similar sushi yas
It will be very hard to find better sushi then in this 2 michelin stars sushi restaurant
Absolutely delicious, friendly staff and just outstanding service, restaurant was small but intimate. The chef led us on a journey across all of Japan with items being skillfully and meticulously prepared to enjoy the best possible dining experience. But here's what you came to see, look at these pictures!
Wonderful omakase sushi. Good taste with high quality material with skilled chef. A bit pricey.
Yummy
The staff was very attentive. The service was top-notch. The food was beyond amazing. The ingredients were fresh, the master chef knew what he is doing. Overall, fantastic. Definitely will visit again with pleasure.
Amazing experience. The chefs and staff were amazing and the food was perfect. I couldn't have had a better sushi experience. Sushi will never be the same again.
The making of sushi by Chef Ryujiro is elegantly smooth. It’s pleasing to watch. The shape of sushi is almost perfect and tastes delicious.
Perfect sushi Omakase experience. Two star Michelin
What an experience. Mind blown as now I know what great sushi tastes and smell like. The service was amazing. The chef seems like he’s good fun too. Wish I could speak Japanese so that I could have bantered with him.
